Is it possible to use a golf bag as a backpack?

Do you think it is possible to use a golf bag as a regular backpack, to hold some books, possibly some clothes, and what have you.

I don’t have any experience with golf bags whatsoever but was just curious as to whether they could be substituted as a regular backpack, and if so, how practical or impractical that would be.
Cheers and thanks.

That’s thinking outside the box…
You might want a cart bag- the pouches would be bigger, so you could fit more books in there. Maybe take out the dividers…
